Introducing the HOPE SCHOLARSHIP FUND (Temporarily on HOLD)

Project: Greenhouse Affect is committed to finding ways to help orphans GROW. Education is one of the best ways to help an orphan break the cycle and become a self-sufficient, confident and productive adult. This is exactly why we have created the HOPE SCHOLARSHIP FUND.
We are proud to announce the FIRST recipient of the HOPE SCHOLARSHIP FUND, Viktor Chebotarov! Through this unique program, we help one orphan at a time to accomplish their educational goals. By giving you the opportunity to donate to the fund for a specific young person, you know that your money goes directly to support that young person's education. This is a 100% DIRECT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM! There are NO administrative fees paid from donations (other than PayPal fees where charged, if you do not choose to include them in your donation.) The money donated for the supported young person goes directly into an account for them. Funds are sent directly to the university, college or trade school they are attending or reimbured to them for documented purchases of books or required supplies after we receive the receipt. It is the most direct, grass-roots way to support a young person!

ABOUT VIKTOR

Just three years ago, Viktor was an orphan in Ukraine. He had very little opportunity for further education or employment. However, he was sponsored by an American volunteer aid worker who knew him from his orphanage to come to the U.S. and finish his high school education. He has proven himself to be extremely capable, hard-working and dedicated. He just graduated from a very demanding private high school with honors and will be starting at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in Fall 2011. He plans to study computer engineering.
While living with his American family (the volunteer aid worker and her two other sons, who also came from orphanages in Ukraine), Viktor has grown into a wonderful, confident young man. His family here supports his living costs, transportation, health insurance and so on. But the costs of tuition and books are high, and help is needed to ensure that he can continue his education, maintain his visa status and remain with his family.

PLEASE DONATE to help VIKTOR achieve his dream of graduating from college. The more donations are made, the more help Viktor will receive to pay for tuition and books.
